FIRE AT PAHIATUA

FARM RESIDENCE BURNED Press Association PAHIATUA, To-day. A seven-roomed residence, occupied by Charles Frederick Holdaway, at Ballance, and owned by his Ernest S. Holdaway, was completely destroyed, also the contents, by fire last night. A fierce gale was blowing. A defective chimney was the cause. A comprehensive policy, covering the residence and cowshed, was held by the South British for £650. The furniture was insured for £2OO and the piano for £BO in the State Office.
