WET WEATHER OLD BOYS BEAT HUNTLY (From Our Own Correspondent .) HAMILTON, To-day. Running up a total of 35 points, Old Boys, playing against Huntly, did most of tiie attacking, and were in the ascendancy throughout. Rain fell continuously during the match. Old Boys’ first try came when Simpson, their winger, snapped up the ball and crossed in the corner. The attempt at conversion failed. Old Boys maintained the pressure, and Simpson worked the reverse pass with Brough, again racing over at the corner. The major points were not added. Wilson next scored for Old Boys, from a forward rush, the kick at goal failing, and Moffatt dropped over for a converted try after the scrum had been screwed on Huntly’s line. H. Johnson scored an unconverted try, and immediately afterwards Brown secured, to cut through and touch down beneath the posts. Biideley converted. Tuck scored two tries in succession, Badeley converting one. Brough added the final try from a loose rush, and Badeley converted, making the score: Old Boys, 35; Huntly, 0. FRANKTON V. TECHNICAL OLD BOVS Frankton suffered defeat at the hands of Technical Old Boys in a closely contested game. Mitchell scored Technical’s opening try between the posts, and converted, after which Bayiy scored an unconverted try for Frankton from a dribbling rush. Howes then dived over for Technical. Mitchell being successful with the kick. Bayiy and Arden next secured unconverted tries for Frankton, but Technical again came to light, McMillan and Mitchell scoring unconverted tries for them, making the final points: Technical Old Boys, 16: Frankton, 9. CITY V. NGARUAWAHIA City showed splendid form at Ngaruawahia, where they outclassed the home team by 31 points to 3 in a fine game. Going potted a field goal for City, Buckingham a converted try, W. Christie and Brown one each, I. Johnston two, and A. Christie ' two. Going secured the remaining points with conversions, while a forward scored an unconverted try for Ngaruawahia. OTHER GAMES In the junior A grade Rugby, Old Boys (9) beat Technical Old Boys (3), Marist (25) beat Frankton (0), City (14) beat Horotiu (9). In senior League Rugbv football, Taupiri (19) beat Ngaruawahia (9). and Huntly (16) beat Frankton Albions (5). At Association football. Wanderers drew with Huntly, each side scoring one goal in a good game. In a junior match, Pukemiro (5) beat Hamilton Y.M.C.A. (3). Y.M.C.A. beat Hinemoa by 11 goals to 1 in a senior hockey match, while in a junior hockey fixture St. James’ registered exactly the same score against Y M.C.A.
