CHURCH SERVICES
The usual Sunday services were held yesterday at St. Matthew's Church. Holy Communion was celebrated at S a.m. and also at 11 a.m., in conjunction with matins. Evensong was held in the evening. The preachers were the Rev. Thomas Southworth in the morning and the Ven. Archdeacon MacMurray in the evening. At the Ponsonbv Road Baptist Church the Rev. E. Nicholls preached two inspiring sermons, taking for his texts, “Christ as a Physician,” and “Christ at the Grave of Lazarus.” At the Royal Oak Baptist Church the Rev. L. B. Bushfield took the evening service. and Mr. L. E. Falkner officiated at the morning service. Church of Christ services were held at all the meeting houses yesterday. At Richmond, Avondale and Devonport special services were held to observe mothers’ day. At Ponsonby Road Mr. K Lang was officiating. Mr. F.
