Local Cyclist To Set Record
AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON ATTEMPT BY SUTHERLAND An attempt to set a cycling record from Auckland to Wellington, a distance of 450 miles by road, is to be made within a few weeks by A. Sutherland, the well-known Auckland cyclist. Sutherland, who won the big road race from Hamilton to Auckland last year, is in steady training for the attempt. He expects to do the long journey in less than three days under reasonable travelling conditions.
