PARIS PRESS COMMENT SERVICE TO CIVILISATION By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright PARIS, Saturday. All the Paris newspapers comment on the raid on Soviet House, in London. “Pertinax,” writing in “Echo de Paris,” says: “It is possible that the Soviet gang will soon be driven back to its native land.” “La Victoire” says: “By resisting this post-revolution Asiatic barbarism Britain once more is deserving well of civilisation.” “L’Avenir” and “Figaro” urge France to follow the lead of Britain. “L’Oeuvre” says the Soviet shot so many people in defence of the principle that the State’s first duty is to provide for its own safety that it cannot be surprised if that principle is also valid in the West.—A. and N.Z.— Sun.
