MY LITTLE DUCK

I have a little duck that walks on W’heels, And when you pull the string He goes along and gobbles with his beak, As sweet as anything.

My little duck is very quaint, you see Jie doesn’t need to swim; Hry land is better for his lovely paint And all the same to him.

I do not know' who made my duck. (He was a clever man.) 1 *? un<i with a lot of things, Packed in a tub of bran.

Paid my pennies to a girl in pink, Who smiled and wished me lucki 1 got a parcel. When I opened it Out came my little duck.

Muriel Arthur, Dominion Road aged 14.
