FAIRY WISDOM

There was once a little piri c»l] M Maisie, who had no brothers or • ters, and lived with her parents in’ great, lonely house. She had eve/ thing she could possibly wish for / yet she was not happy.

One day she was sitting in her particular chair when a sweet came from her finger, “Would . like to come to Happy Town?" it Looking down she saw that a h« tlful fairy had entered the room U ‘ “What place is that?” asked Mm* “Oh, it is a wonderful place ,/ every Sunbeam there is happy” Jj; the fairy, whose name was Wisdm? "You go down Tiptoe Street past Joy Shop and into Happy Town.” “* “Oh, please take me quickly!” m-*, Maisie.

“Shut your eyes,” said Fairy Ml. dom.

Maisie did so and, on opening them she found herself in Tiptoe Street'”’ ■Wisdom led the way to the Jo, Shop, where Maisie found plenty happineess to make up for her nio-n ing’s misery.

“Isn’t it wonderful?” she kept saying.

Then they arrived in Happy Tom, The Dawn Lady warmlv welcome] them and Maisie felt quite at home The time went so quickly that soo- - realised it was almost tea-tiro Presently she closed her eyes ani found that she was sitting in her chair again.

Now, Maisie. with many of h w friends, goes to Happy Town once a week, and Maisie never forgets the first time she went to that beautiful place.
