ANOTHER £310,000

TO BE RAISED CITY STREETS LOAN The city treasurer advised the council last evening that the balance standing to the first portion of the Streets Improvement Loan (£400,000 raised of £750,000) at February 2S was £4,160 6s 9d. About £B,OOO would be required for flotation expenses of the next £200,000, so that the account was really in debit £4,000.

The Works Committee recommended that steps be taken to raise the balance of £310,000 outstanding on the authorised loan. This was agreed to.
