BIG JEWELLERY HAUL
SUSPECT’S ARREST IN SYDNEY

Detectives to-day arrested a man in Sydney and charged him with having been connected with a robbery of jewellery, valued at £2,658, at Dannevirke, New Zealand, in February. About £I,OOO worth of jewellery was found in the possession of the accused. —A. and N.Z.
On the night of February 5 the shop of Stubbs and Millar, in the business area of Dannevirke, was broken into. The thieves opened the strongroom and stole a quantity of jewellery, principally diamond rings.
