ALTITUDE RECORD AMERICAN AVIATOR’S FLIGHT By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright WASHINGTON, Tuesday. The United States Navy Department announces that Lieutenant Champion created a new altitude record of 33,455 ft. in a Wright single-seater fighting seaplane.—A. and N.Z. The previous record was that o; Lieutenant de Mougeot. a French airman, who reached a height of LI, 164 ft on April 7 of this year. _
