CHRISTCHURCH FROTHBLOWERS
(Special to THE BUN.) Christchurch could found a healthy branch of the “Frothblowers' Club” if the figures for beer production as shown by the Customs returns are an indication. Six breweries in Christchurch, p! id -Canterbury and North Canterbury produced, for the six months ended March 31, 1,058,134 oallons of beer and stout, after " he 10 per cent, wastage allowed by the Customs is deducted. And this for a population of about 134,989, so that each inhabitant could have had, under a fair distribution, 7.8 gallons.
