FAREWELL SOCIAL

A farewell social was tendered at Tauranga this week to Mr. R. R. Berrill, who has been transferred to the Bank of New Zealand at Auckland.

During the evening the president of the Golf Club, Mr. H. P. Butts, on behalf of several clubs and many friends, presented Mr. Berrill with a travelling rug.

Mr. Berrill has been a member of the tennis, golf and rowing clubs for a considerable time and will be greatly missed in these branches of sport.
