PLENTY OF MONEY

BAIL NO DIFFICULTY CHARGE OF THEFT Most people’s difficulty on being granted bail by a magistrate is to raise the necessary cash. John Madson did not need to worry about that when he appeared this morning on a charge of stealing a case of benzine worth 15s from William Francis Petford. He had £66 6s 3d on him when he was arrested. At Senior Sergeant Edwards’s request Madson, who pleaded not guilty, was remanded to May 18 to enable further inquiries to be made. The matter of £SO bail was easily fixed up.
