ITALIAN SACRIFICE WORKERS ASK FOR LESS WAGES By Cable. —. Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Monday. The Rome correspondent of the “Daily Express” says the revaluation of the lire is proceeding. Italy is bravely facing her financial and commercial rehabilitation. The Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, is showing the firmest determination to reduce the salaries of civil servants to the extent of £4,000,000 a year. A new bank is being formed to finance exports independently of political considerations. An example of Fascist discipline and sacrifice was shown at Brescia, where the workers asked for a 10 per cent, reduction in their wages, so that freights might be reduced. —A. and N.Z.
