FIRE ON COAL-HULK
DISCHARGE NECESSARY Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. A fire was discovered on the Union Company’s hulk, Rakanoa, at 6.45 a.m. The watchman fired a rocket and flew a distress signal. The tug Terawhiti was dispatched, and the fire was extinguished in about half an hour. It will be necessary to discharge wet coal to prevent a further outbreak.
