CHANGING NUMBER PLATES

Owners should remember that changing plates from one vehicle to another is looked upon as a serious offence under the Motor Vehicles Act. Anyone dealing with more than one car is advised to be particularly careful about plates. This applies particularly to dealers, garages and painters. It has not been unheard of for a painter to inadvertently change the plates on two cars. In the event of a wrong pair of plates being used on a car and the offence being detected a heavy penalty is likely.
