JUMBLE SALE

MAYORESS LIBRARY LEAGUE A jumble sale has been organised by the members of the Mayoress’s Wa r Memorial Library League and will be held in the Alexandra Street Mission Hall on Friday, May 13, at 2 p.m. Gifts of old clothes of any kind, shoes and boots, hats, ornaments, vegetables, jams, cakes, etc., will be more than welcome, as the League wishes to make this sale a decided success in order that the funds with which to carry on their splendid work may be considerably augmented. For the convenience of people wishing to give parcels the following receiving depots have been arranged: EPSOM. —Miss Newbegin, 36 Great South Road, Epsom. DOMINION ROAD. —Mrs. Mason, 139 Dominion Road. EDENDALE.—Mrs. McGrath, 11 Oxton Road, Edendale. MOUNT EDEN. —Mrs. McNair, 23 Merivale Avenue Epsom; Mrs. Matthias, 1 Tenterden Avenue, Mount Eden. PONSONBY. —Mrs. Morpeth, St. Mary’s Road, Ponsonby. REMUERA. —Mrs. McGregor, 9 Armadale Road, Remuera: Mrs. A. Hall, 54 Ladies’ Mile, Remuera. The Bookroom, Town Hall, or on Thursday at the Alexandra Hall. Parcels left at the above depots will be collected by car on Thursday morning, and sorting and fumigating will be commenced about 12 o’clock on that day. Helpers are urgently needed for this work, which will be done in the Alexandra Hall. On Friday helpers are requested to be at the hall at 10 o’clock.
