A MAY WEDDING
MILL—STUDHOLME St. Mary’s pro-Cathedral was the scene of an interesting wedding yesterday afternoon when Audrey Lina, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Studholme, of Otaha, Waipapa, Bay of Islands, and late of Canterbury, was married to Francis Douglas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Mill, of Remuera. 'The ceremony was performed by Archbishop Averill, assisted by the Rev. Canon James. Glistening white taffetas, to which added beauty was given by the deep skirt of silver lace, fashioned the delightful gown worn by the bride, who was given away by her father. From her shoulders fell a charming train of tulle, caught -frith tiny sprays of orange blossom and little knots of ribbon. A veil of embroidered tulle was gracefully arranged with orange blossoms and silver leaves forming a chaplet. The bridal bouquet was of exquisite white roses mingled with filmy fern. Miss Efiie Studholme, the sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, wearing a dainty-flowered trimmed gown of iridescent mauvette and silver taffetas, with ribbons of silver Her head dress was of silver and mauve, and a pretty boLiquet in tones of mauve completed her charming toilette. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Gibson Stott, Of Wellington, as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mrs. A. L. Foster, in Remuera Road, when a wealth of beautiful flowers made a charming addition to the attractive rooms. Mrs. Studholme, who received the guests, wore a smart gown of black satin romaine with effective touches of absinthe green georgette and silver caught with a handsome cabouchon of green. Her hat was of black, trimmed with green and finished with a diamante buckle. Mrs. M. A. Mill, the mother of the bridegroom, wore a charming g\pwn of black georgette and lace, fashioned on gracefully simple lines; her hat was of black, and a charming addition was a stole of skunk. Among those present were the following: Mrs. A. L. Foster, in a gown of beige georgette, veiled in black lace, and a black hat. Lady Lockhart, wearing a charmingly embroidered gown of black and gold and a smart black hat. Mrs. Averill, in a suit of sand-coloured cloth, trimmed with mandarin blue, and a black hat. Mrs. Stephen Allen, gown of navy crepe de chine, with inlet panel of royal blue, close-fitting hat to tone. Airs. Vaile, gown of black satin marocain and becoming hat of black. Mrs. Valentine, champagne crepe de chine fock, with hat of Nile green. Mrs. M. Reed, handsome gown of black crepe de chine, trimmed with cream georgette, and black hat. Mrs. YYarwick Wilson, coat frock of navy blue, trimmed with gold, hat of navy. Mrs. Percival James, frock of fuchsia toned georgette, with hat to tone. Mrs. Lawford, smart ensemble suit in mauvette, with floral hat of harmonising shade. Mrs. McLean, ensemble suit of black, and small black hat. Mrs. Fraser, gown of ashes ■ of roses velvet, with hat in prettily matching tones. Airs. Waller, black fur-trimmed coat of velour, and black hat. Mrs. Knight, frock of pastel pink marocain, with hat to tone. ' Aliss Jean Fergusson, wood-brown coat and small hat of moth-brown. Aliss Averill, floral georgette frock in tones of bronze and blue, with hat of bronze and golden tonings. Aliss Vaile, reseda green georgette, with white cloak of fur, and black hat. Aliss Rogers, rose du Barri coat with grey fur, small rose hat. Aliss AlcCullough, petunia-toned frock of marocain, and hat to match. Aliss Sweet, ensemble suit of navy blue and hat of wine toning. Miss Hewitt, fi'ock of crepe de chine in cameo pink, with hat to match. Aliss Binney, bronze gold crepe de chine frock, with handsome. beading, hat to tone. Aliss Waller, wisteria mauve frock of georgette, with hat to match. Aliss Alaclean, frock of beige georgette and beige hat. Aliss Kissling, chestnut brown cape ensemble, and hat trimmed with lacquer red. Aliss Ferguson, fur-trimmed gown of black sedan cloth, and black hat. Miss Anderson, coat of moonlight blue velour, and hat to tone. Aliss Knight, petunia gown of georgette, and hat to match. Aliss Colbeck, frock in pastel shade of pink marocain and hat to tone.
