DAIRY FACTORY FIRE

NO SERIOUS DAMAGE (From Our Own Correspondent.) WHANG AREI, To-day. An outbreak of fire occurred in the boiler house at the Whangarei Dairy Factory at 8.40 last evening, through a great pile of shavings and sawdust catching alight. A 30-cwt. lorry had the rear of its body charred and was rescued just in time. The brigade was promptly on the scene, but some delay was occasioned, the hose having to be run over 200 yards to the nearest‘plug. No damage was done beyond that caused the lorry.
