REPORTS FROM WAIKATO DUCKS PLENTIFUL (From Our Oicn Correspondent .) HAMILTON, To-day. Although the shooting season opened on May 2 many sportsmen were not able to take advantage of the fact until the week-end. Ducks are reported to be plentiful, one bag of 14 ducks and two cock pheasants being secured at Kivvitahi. Only small bags of quail are reported, the birds not being as numerous as last year. Sportsmen are appreciating the open season for pukeko and one party of four bagged 47 over the week-end. While a fair number of pheasants have been secured, those in search of them have not had a great deal of success.
