SERIOUSLY INJURED

MOTOR-CYCLIST IN HOSPITAL RESULT OF COLLISION As a result of a collision between a motor-cycle and a motor-car shortly after 3 p.m. yesterday, Mr. Laurie Seaton was admitted to the Auckland Hospital suffering- from a compound fracture of the leg and severe injuries to the head. Mr. Seaton, who is 24 years old and lives at 36 Cambourne Road, Edendale, was riding along the Great South Road between Papatoetoe and Otahuliu when his machine came into collision with a motor-car driven by Mr. W. Brown, of Papatoetoe, who was travelling the opposite way. Mr. Seaton was about to overtake another car when he crashed into Mr. Brown’s car. Mr. Seaton was thrown heavily to the ground. His machine was badly damaged, while the car was only slightly damaged. The injured man was taken to the hospital in a critical condition. His condition to-day was stated to be no better.
