TO STOP WAR
LABOUR PEACE BUREAU AUSTRALIAN MOVE By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright Reed. 11.45 a.m..MELBOURNE, To-day. The All-Australian Trade Union Congress passed a resolution that the congress elect a peace committee, whose duty it be to establish a Bureau of Peace and keep in close touch with the working class of all nations, particularly those bordering on the Pacific, for the purpose of helping to prevent future war and help to bring about world peace. The congress protested against the British Trades Union Bill and pledged financial and moral support to British unions in opposing the Bill. Mr. W. W. Duggan was elected president of new Australian Council of Trades Unions. —A. and N.Z.
