EPIPHANY CHURCH

A SUCCESSFUL YEAR ANNUAL MEETING HELD Financially as well as in attendances, another successful year was reported at the annual meeting of parishioners of the Church of Epiphany, Newton, when the vicar, the Rev. R. G Coats, presided over a large attendance. The annual report stated that the vestry desired to express their deep obligation to the vicar and Mrs. Coats for their hard work and the continued interest they have taken in the church and parish. They felt sure that it was due to their zeal and forgetfulness of personal comfort and rest that the state of the parish had been raised to such a high standard.

It was also reported that during the year there had been 3,285 Communions, 43 baptisms, 12 confirmations. 24 marriages and 49 burials. Holding, Port, Hewitt, jun., Exall, Taylor and Drew; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Graham. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. H. W. Wilson for his services as auditor.
