THRILLING RUGBY
WELL-MATCHED SENIORS TRAINING COLLEGE SURPRISES PONSONBY GREAT GAMES AT EDEN PARK Saturday was a day of thrills and surprises in the Rugby code, and the strenuous and evenly - contested games witnessed by a big crowd at Eden Park suggested that great Rugby will be seen as the season advances. Though evenly fought, and scoreless, the star game between Marists and Varsity did not scintillate to the same degree as the Training College-Ponsonby clash, which was a desperate struggle holding the attention of the bulk of the crowd. In the three senior A matches, staged at Eden Park, the aggregate margin of difference was only two points.
