TOBACCONIST’S PREMISES RAIDED
OWNER BEFORE COURT ALLEGED GAMING HOUSE Press Association GISBORNE, To-day. Arthur Owen was charged in the Police Court this morning with having used his premises as a common gaming house. Cornelius Patterson was charged with assisting him. The charges were laid in consequence of a police raid on Saturday on Owen’s premises, where he conducted business as a tobacconist and hairdresser.
A remand till next Monday was granted.
