NO DIFFERENT FOR BATTING
SMALLER CRICKET BALL By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Thursday. “The smaller ball makes no difference to batting,” said Hobbs, and Sandham declared he did not know he was using a smaller ball until it had been pointed out to him. Hendren expressed the opinion that it makes fielding and catching easier, because it runs more truly. Durston thinks the new ball will keep its shape, and the direction will be better, which will increase the confidence of bowlers. —A. and N.Z.-Slui.
