READ THE SUN

Had Sun readers followed the information supplied on this page Berinthia would not have been allowed to go out in the To Rore Hack at Te Rapa last Wednesday carrying only £lO6. The previous Saturday Berinthia had raced at Awapuni, and after getting a break on the field was leading fifty yards from the post, only to then stop quickly and finish out of a place. All this was faithfully recorded by our representative at the Southern meeting, and yet this was ignored. Result, Berinthia wins at a joy price, and later in the same day (Wednesday) runs second in the open sprint.
