Meteorological observations taken at the Albert Park Observatory at 9 a.m. to-day by Captain D. McLeay, the Government observer:— Barometer, 30.040 inches. Air temperature at 9 a.m., 59 degrees. Temperature in shade yesterday.— Maximum, G 6 degrees; minimum, 53 degrees; maximum temperature in sun, 122 degrees. Bright sunshine yesterday, 6 hours. Minimum temperature on grass, 51 degrees. Direction of wind at 9 a.m., E. Velocity of wind previous 24 hours, 129 miles. Rainfall during previous 24 hours, .02 inches. Rainfall to date this month, .13 inches. NORTH ISLAND CONDITIONS Observations taxen at 9 a.m.:—
