BEAUTY AND COMFORT
DIXIELAND This most luxurious cabaret, situated on an eminent position at Point Chevalier, and commanding a glorious view of the upper reaches of the Waitemata Harbour, is the nightly rendezvous of the dance and musicloving people of Auckland. With its beautiful lounges, syncopating orchestra, and novel lighting effects, it is small wonder that the patrons of this establishment thoroughly apppreciate every minute of their evening’s entertainment. Having easy access to the heart of the city (a quarter of an hour by motor journey), this cabaret is in popular demand, and under the able managership of Mr. N. Loveridge, whose courtesy and minute attention is unflagging, the patrons are assurd of a pleasant evening’s recreation. Buring the summer months large windows, forming a look-out promenade, can be adjusted to permit the col sea breezes to waft through the establishment, thus facilitating cool, delightful dancing. Similarly, in winter, the installation of a large dry-heating apparatus for expelling cold air, and the substitution of warm air, has been arranged.
