WANGANUI BOOTMAKER BANKRUPT

CREDITORS DISSATISFIED (From Our Own Correspondent.') WANGANUI, To-day. A meeting of creditors in the estate of George Lunnon, trading as the “Marlovian Boot Company,”' was held yesterday. Bankrupt, in his statement, said he commenced a boot repairing business in 1920 with a capital of £22. Business developed, and he took in a partner, but the latter eventually got out. He carried on alone, and in May, 1925, he found he was insolvent, but he did not inform his creditors. He then contracted further debts to the extent of £4OO, hoping to pull up, but finally had to give in. Mr. Forgie, of Auckland, expressed the opinion that bankrupt misled his creditors.

The deputy official assignee also accused bankrupt of making false statements.

It was decided to realise on the assets, and engage an accountant to fully investigate Lunnon’s affairs.
