The result of the election of officers of the New Zealand Workers’ Union, recently conducted by ballot, was announced to-day by the general secretary, Mr. A. Cook: National president, Mr. C. E. Baldwin (Christchurch); national vicepresidents, Messrs. A. Brown (Christchurch), J. Whyte (Wellington); general secretary, Mr. A. Cook (Wellington). All elected unopposed. Delegates to the Alliance of Labour conference, Messrs. C. E. Baldwin (Christchurch), J. Whyte (Wellington); executive council, Messrs. A. J. Middlemiss (Gore), R. Eddy (Waimate; A. Meighan (Christchurch), R. Tutaki (Fernhill), J. Thom (Wairoa), 11. J. Walters (Mount Maunganui); organisers, Messrs. C. E. Baldwin (Christchurch), J. Donnelly (Greytown), J. G. Leckie (Timaru), A. J. Middlemiss (Gore), A. O'Kane (Gore), J. Townsend (Wanganui), J. Whyte (Wellington), W. Wallace (Napier), J. B. Williams (Auckland). Delegates to 1927 conference, Messrs. M. J. Hickey (Balfour), D.
