FOR THE ZOO

ANIMALS LEAVE AUSTRALIA Still more animals have been donated to the Auckland Zoo, which is steadily growing in popularity. When the Marama left Sydney yesterday for Auckland she carried two grey kangaroos and an Australian native cat for the collection. They have been donated by Mr. Douglas Wylie, who led the recent expedition to North-west Australia.

Two camels are also due to arrive shortly to take up their homes at the Zoological Park.

The Auckland Zoo is already particularly fortunate in its collection of animals, and these new members of the big zoo community will prove an added attraction. Visitors to Auckland invariably express their amazement and pleasure at the size and excellence of the collection.
