PROFIT SHARING
WAIKATO PAPER’S SCHEME 7 PERMISSION TO OPERATE (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. Advice has been received by the Waikato and King Country Press, Ltd., that the Arbitration Court has made an order certifying that in its opinion the profit-sharing scheme formulated by the directors will be favourable to the general body of employed by the company. It is a condition of the Companies Empowering Act, 1924, that a certificate must be obtained from the Arbitration Court before labour shares can be issued by a limited company.
The “Waikato Times,” is, therefore, now in a position to bring its scheme into force by adopting the provisions of the Act in regard to the issue of labour shares.
