ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL

Injuries received through assisting in moving a case on the steamer Win-

Injuries received through assisting in moving a case on the steamer Wingatui caused Mr. J. Sandham’s removal to the Auckland Hospital yesterday afternoon. Mr. Sandharn, who is G 4 years of age, married, and lives at 49 Wellington Street, is employed as a wharf labourer, and it was while he was engaged in loading on the s.s. Wingatui that he received his injuries. How he came by his injuries is not known, as the only persons who witnessed the accident were members of the crew of the steamer, which put to sea early this morning. He underwent an X-ray examination late last night. His injuries are of an internal nature. His condition this morning was the same as when he was admitted.
