LADIES’ MATCHES START TEAMS AND FIXTURES VARSITY V. ST. LUKE’S The second series of matches in the grade championships under the auspices of the Auckland Hockey Association will be played at the Remuera Grounds to-morrow afternoon. In view of the surprising result of the VarsitySomerville match last week the contest between the blues and St. Luke’s set down for 3.15 on No. 1 Ground should prove highly interesting. Areta and Wesley will clash on the main ground at 2 p.m., and at the same time University Colts will meet Somerville Colts, while at three o’clock Mt. Eden and Somerville will wage war. The other senior game, between Epiphany and Training College, will be played on No. 3 field at three o’clock. The ladies’ competitions begin today and following on the general increase in the number of teams contesting. the season augurs well. Following are the teams: Senior A Grade Somerville. —B.
