WATER COMMISSION
SITTING AT HUNTLY (From Our Own Correspondent.') HUNTLY, To-day. The Water Supply Commission sat here yesterday, and met members of the Town Board. The chairman of the commission, Mr. A. W. Blair, presided, and Messrs. W. C. George, chairman, and Dr. R. C. Mac Diarmid, •poke on behalf of the local body. After hearing the Town Board’s representatives and discussing various details, the matter of a supply for Huntly Was thoroughly gone into. The local body representatives signified their desire to fall into line with any scheme, consistent with a good wholesome supply, irrespective of any particular scheme.
Generally speaking, the meeting seemed to favour pumping direct from the Waikato as far as Jlocal requirements are concerned.
