BOOSTING N.Z. GOODS

HELP WANTED Towards the end of last year a newspaper advertising scheme to boost New Zealand goods was inaugurated, states the annual report of the Auckland Provincial Industrial Association. The scheme provides for the insertion of regular advertisements in twenty-one newspapers from Auckland to the Bluff. The first of these (full-page advertisements), which recently appeared in THE SUN, “Herald” and “Star,” attracted considerable attention, and should aid in boosting New Zealand-made goods. The cost is borne by manufacturers throughout the Dominion. So far there are only about forty contributors in Auckland, and it is hardly fair that the small, though ever-ready and willing, number should carry the burden. A small contribution from the other thousand manufacturers would provide for a weekly advertisement, which would do much to assist in creating an increased demand for New Zealand-made goods.
