MARYLAND COMING. —En route from Cuba to Auckland the Atlantic Transport Company’s steamer Maryland, 4,731 tons, passed through Panama Canal on May 4. She is due here about May 28.
KARTIGI SAILING TO-MORROW. —The Union Company advises that the Kartigi, which arrived at Auckland this morning from Napier, is scheduled to sail at noon to-morrow for Newcastle, Sydney and Suva, and then returns to Auckland again. ANTONIO FROM TEXAS. —With a full cargo of case oil, the steamer Antonio is now en route from Port Arthur to Auckland, Napier, Wellington, New Plymouth, Beauty Point, Melbourne and Adelaide. The Texas Oil Co. are agents. The Antonio sailed from Port Arthur on April 22 and is expected here about May 24. ENGINES FOR MARORO. The auxiliary three-masted schooner, Maroro, after being laid up at Gisborne for some time, was towed to Auckland by the Wainui about three weeks ago. She has berthed at the gas works wharf for repairs and overhaul, and is to have a FairbanksMorse oil engine of over 100 horsepower installed before taking up intercolonial trade again.
SOMERSET COMPLETING. —To complete loading the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Federal steamer Somerset arrived at Wellington yesterday afternoon from Port Chalmers. She is scheduled to clear Wellington to-morrow for Hull and London via Panama.
FORERIC SAILS TO-MORROW.— Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane advise that the Foreric leaves Auckland to-morrow for Wanganui to complete discharge. She later proceeds to Westport for bunkers, thence Makatea, where she loads for Sweden.
PETRICOLA DUE. —The British Imperial Oil Company’s tanker Petricola, which is due at Auckland at 1 a.m. tomorrow from San Francisco, berths, after pratique has been granted, at Western Wharf to pump part of her bulk benzine ashore.
BARON RUTHVEN REPORTS.— The local agents, Messrs. R. Millar and Company, have received wireless advice that the steamer Baron Ruthven expects to arrive at Auckland from Cuba to-morrow morning. After inspection the vessel will go to Chelsea to unload sugar at the Colonial Sugar Refining Company’s works. From Auckland the vessel proceeds to Westport for bunkers, thence Nauru Island to load for Australia and New Zealand.
AUSTRALIND FROM N YORK. —According to a further wireless message received by the New Zealand Shipping Company the steamer Australind from New Y r ork expects to arrive at Auckland early to-morrow morning. From this port the vessel proceeds to Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Wanganui and Australia to complete her discharge. SUSSEX AT TOWNSVILLE.— CabIe advice received by the Union Company states that the Federal steamer Sussex arrived at Townsville yesterday morning from Calcutta via ports and leaves there at noon to-day for Auckland. She should arrive here about Monday, 16th inst. NUCULA UNDOCKS. —Having completed her cleaning and painting the Admiralty tanker Nucula came out of dock this morning and went to an anchorage in the stream, pending her departure to San Pedro. HORORATA LEAVES PANAMA.— Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Hororata arrived at Panama on May 1 from Wellington, and sailed again on the same date for London. The vessel left Wellington on April 10.
VANCOUVER MAIL STEAMERS.— The Union Company advises the following movements of their Royal Mail steamers engaged in the Vancouver services:
The Aorangi left Sydney at 4.50 p.m. yesterday for Auckland. She is expected to arrive here on Monday morning and sails at 11 a.m. on Tuesday next for Suva, Honolulu, Victoria and Vancouver.
The Niagara left Vancouver at noon on Wednesday last for Auckland via ports, and is due to arrive here on the 23rd inst., sailing the following day for Sydney. SYDNEY STEAMERS. —The Hud-dart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa leaves Wellington at noon to-day for Sydney, where she is due on Tuesday next. The Union Company’s Marama and Maunganui leave Sydney this afternoon for Auckland and Wellington respectively. Both vessels are due next Tuesday.
ARAWA DUE SUNDAY, 10 a.m.— Messrs. A. S. Paterson and Company have been advised by radio that the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Arawa is due at Auckland at 10 a.m. on Sunday from Liverpool. The vessel has passengers for disembarkation at Auckland and cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.
RARANGA TO LOAD. —To continue her loading the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Raranga leaves Nelson at noon to-day for Auckland, where she is due on Sunday. From here the vessel proceeds to Napier, Wanganui and Wellington to fill up, sailing finally from Wellington on May 22 for London via Falkland Island. Messrs. A. S. Paterson and Company are the local agents.
MOLDAVIA'S PASSENGERS.— The following passengers from the P. and O. liner Moldavia have booked for New Zealand and will arrive at Auckland and Wellington by the Marama and Maunganui respectively:—Auckland: Mr. and Mrs. Rimmer and child. Miss Hall; Wellington: Captain and Mrs. Gregorys, Mr. Ferguson, Mr. McGregor, Miss Ironside.

The Ngatiawa returns on Sunday from Hokianga and leaves on Monday at 4 p.m. for Raglan and Kawhia.
