GAME IN AUCKLAND MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS A PLAYER REPRIMANDED At last night’s meeting of the man agement committee of the Auckland Football Association. Mr. A. Menzi*! presiding, a Thistle player was severe!* reprimanded on a charge of ungentle manly conduct during the Thistle! Tramways match last week. Transfers were granted L. c. Hart from North Shore to Northcote, and G. B. Wright from Ponsonby to One hunga. The transfers of B. Bartran,* D. Walker and S. T. Smith, from Xav* Depot to Y.M.C.A., were not approve/ Permission was granted the One hunga Club to play second and third grade matches against Huntly eiuj at Huntly, on June 3. The 1927 soccer season opened 1° the Huntly district on Saturday and in glorious autumn weatherThistle played Pukemiro on the latter 1 ground and a drawn game resultedThe result (a goal apiece) is a fair criterion of the merits of the teams on the day, though both teams are capable of a vast improvement after a few matches are played and the* necessary combined efforts are practised- R*' feree, Mr. James Wallace. At Rotowaro, Huntly tried conclusions with the men from the min* township and another drawn game resulted, two goals each. This was* good open game and honours evenly divided by Bate and scoring for Huntly, and Crookes aa Cold well for ’Waro. Referee, Mr. Bate.
