ROYAL AUCKLAND CHOIR The Royal Auckland Choir will deliver the first concert of the season in the Town Hall to-morrow evening. Solo items will be rendered by Miss Alma McGruer, soprano, and Mr. John Bree, baritone. The Moore Sisters,
an instrumental trio, will also contribute. The choir of 80 voices will render, among other items, the following part-songs: “The Rough Riders,” “Holy Calm and Stillness,” “Like Fairy Eyes,” “Soldier’s Rest,” “It Was a Lover and His Lass,” “Drake's Dream.” “Hymn to the Sun,” and “Vintage Song.” MUNICIPAL CONCERT
A varied programme of organ, violin and vocal music has been arranged for the municipal concert in the Town Hall on Saturday evening next. The performers will include the city organist, Mr. Maughan Barnett. Miss Margaret Stoddart, violinist, and Miss Ina Thomson, vocalist.
Charlie Murray is the only actor at the First National studio who has not been defeated on the new tennis court there. He has not played on it.
