NEW STATION OPENED WELLINGTON’S NEEDS (From Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Monday. With the opening to-day of a new police station at Kelburn, the requisite standard of the city in police supervision has been reached. This was announced by the Commissioner. Mr. W. B. Mcllveney, who added: “This should suffice for Wellington for some time to come.” He waived the suggestion that 'Wellington requirements had been served at the expense of any other part of the Dominion. “ There are more stations in Auckland than anywhere else,” he declared.
