AUCKLAND CHOIR

FIRST CONCERT The Royal Auckland Choir is now entering upon its thirty-sixth season. It can claim to be the premier society in tlje Dominion, not from point of view of numbers, but for the excellence of its performances. This year the tenor parts have been strengthened by the addition of several old Welsh Choir members, who have recently joined. The basses have always been the admiration of visitors with their fine, resonant tones. The programme for Thursday night comprises a very excellent combination of part songs, and the soloists are all first-class. This is the first concert of the season, and new subscribers are now being enrolled.
