PUKEKOHE TOURNAMENT
(From Our Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, To-day. The Easter tennis tournament promoted by the Pukekohe Lawn Tennis Club was concluded on Saturday with the exception of the championship combined doubles. Results are: Ladies’ Championship Singles.—Mrs. L. Bilkey defeated Miss R. Johns, 6 4, 6 —4. Ladies’ Handicap Singles.—Miss W. Scott defeated Mrs. Robinson, 6—3, 5 4. Ladies’ Handicap Doubles.—Mrs. J. Puryer and Miss A. Johns defeated Mrs L. J. Bayly and Miss M. Proude, 41— 22. Men’s Championship Singles.—K. Papesch defeated G. Willis, I—6, 6 6 —3. Men’s Handicap Singles.—R. Fulton defeated R. M. Johnson, 76—73. Men's Championship Doubles.—R. Fulton and G. Willis defeated J. Brown and Robson, 76—57. Combined Handicap Doubles.—Miss Urquhart and Syme defeated Miss B. Proude and G. T. Proude, 51 —42. PAPATOETOE CLUB The winners for the season in the Papatoetoe Tennis Club’s competitions are as follows: Men’s championship singles, Mr. Henry Elder; men’s handicap singles, Mr. Frank
Catt; Mr. Weston's trophy, ladles’ handicap singles, for members who have not previously won a club trophy. Miss Hilda Percy; championship combines. Miss Doris Bryant and H. Elder; handicap combines, Miss E. O'Loughiin and F. Catt; ladies’ handicap singles. Miss Phyllis Weston; Smith Cup, ladies’ handicap singles, Miss Dot Weston; ladies’ handicap doubles, Misses Mona Waters and R. O'Loughiin; ladies’ championship singles, semi-final. Miss Doris Bryant beat Miss Clara Bryant, 6—2, 6—4; final Miss D. Bryant plays Miss Dot Weston. ’
