CHARGE OF FRAUD
TRANSACTION BY CHEQUE A charge of issuing a valueless cheque at New Plymouth on March 25 was responsible for the appearance of William Francis Kelly, aged 22, in the Police Court this morning. It was alleged that he had obtained a canvas oilcoat valued at £4 4s and £l7 6s in cash by a cheque for £2l 10s drawn on the Bank of New Zealand at Bulls. Chief-Detective Cummings observed that there were certain local matters that required investigation and asked for a remand until Thursday,
