TE AWAMUTU ORPHANS
ANNUAL MEETING (From Our Own Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, To-day. The annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Orphans’ Club took place on Saturday evening. Bro. S. Clark occupied the chair. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £4 6s 6d as compared with £4 14s 9d a year ago. The chairman referred to the loss the club would sustain in the departure of Bro. Robson. He had won the esteem of all by his genial good fellowship. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Bro. Stewart Reid. M.P. (re-elected); president, Bro. A. A. Reese; vice-presidents, Bros. R. Laurie, L. J. Whittington and H. Hey; treasurer, Bro. S. Riddell; secretary. Bro. A. C. Chittenden; auditor, Bro. D. Bockett (re-elected); chief steward, Bro. C. A. Reilly; assistant steward, Bro. R. Noonan; committee, Bros. R. .F. Fox. J. B. Wilson, G. F. Smith, A. Bond, H. Andrew, L. S. Armstrong, B. Morris; accompanist, Bro. A. J. Sinclair (re-elected); song leader, Bro. J. Oliphant (re-elected); master of ceremonies, Bro. P. Armstrong.
