WRONGFUL SEIZURE

FEDERALSHIP CASE VESSEL TO BE RELEASED By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright SAN FRANCISCO, Saturday. The Canadian owners of the vessel Federalship have brought an action in the District Court seeking to ascertain why the Government should not release the vessel and her cargo of liquor, ill view of the recent decision that the seizure was illegal. The action was adjourned for one week. The United States attorney, Mr. Hatfield, announced to-day that the Federal Government officials were aware that the seizure of the Federalship was illegal. The Customs coastguard will release the ship next week. —rA. and N.Z.
