TE AWAMUTU NOTES

(From Our Own Correspondent.) A WEDDING BELL—McCANN At Cambridge the wedding was solemnised recently of Mavis Winnie, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. McCann, of Te Awamutu, to Henry Conrad Bell, also of Te Awamutu. The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. James Hay. In a delightful bridal gown of ivory crepe de chine, lightly trimmed with gold and with an overdress of silken tulle, the bride made a charming picture. A veil of exquisitely hand-em-broidered tulle was arranged in dainty mob cap fashion, and with her beautiful boquet proved a charming complement to her gown. Miss M. McCann, a sister of the

bride, acted as bridesmaid, wearing a dainty toilette of pastel-tinted crepe de chine and carrying a charming bouquet of harmonising flowers. Mr. Cyril Waite attended as best man.
