DEMAND FOR BONDS MINING QUIET A continued steady demand on a filming market for gilt-edged securities, particularly New Zealand War Bonds, continues to be the business on the Auckland Stock Exchange. The market, otherwise, is quiet. Banks remain firm. The insurance section also continues in good tone with ftw sellers quoting. Timber shares are weak with few buyers in the field. In the mining section there is little activity, Waini stocks being practically the only shares showing much actiivty. Auckland Gas shares continue firm and are well sought after on a rising market, sales being made up to £ 1 3s sd. !
