AMERICAN MINE DISASTER EIGHT DEAD: OTHERS FACE DOOM By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Received 8 a.m. FARIMONT, Sunday. Several hours after 91 men were trapped in an explosion in a coal mine near Farimont on Saturday evening, rescue workers removed the bodies of eight dead. Three were fatally wounded. Little hope is held out for the other men.—A. and N.Z.-Sun. Farimont is a mining centre in West Virginia.
