WAGGON DERAILED

MISHAP NEAR MARION TRAFFIC HELD UP MAIN TRUNK LINE BLOCK (From Our Oxen Corespondent.J MARTON, To-day. A waggon of a goods train which left Taihape for Wellington at 3 o'clock this morning was derailed one ar.d a half miles north of Porewa, near Marton, doing a considerable amount of damage to the permanent way. It is hoped to have the line clear for traffic again at 8 o’clock this morning. The train on which the mishap occurred was due at Marton Junction at 5.25 o’clock this morning. The Limited which left Auckland last evening for Wellington was held up for some hours, but arrangements were made for the passengers to have breakfast at Marton. The traffic time-table was considerably disarranged by the mishap. No one was injured and the only damage was that done to the permanent way.
